Who can buy on Mad Aroma?
Everyone, art collectors, philanthropists, collectors and non-professionals can buy artworks on this website.
What is Mad Aroma?
Mad Aroma is an online art gallery selling contemporary artworks (oil on canvas), photos, editions and posters from Patrick Samuël to everyone. Because everyone can buy art.
Are the oil paintings available as prints?
Yes, some of these orignal works are available as fine art prints. These limited edition prints are photographic replicas in a smaller scale than the original oil paintings.
What is an edition?
An edition is when there are multiple copies of a work. The artist defines the edition before the first sale. The number of copies varies depending on the medium and the motif. Once determined, this number will never change. In general, the smaller the edition, the higher the price.
Is a certificate of authenticity provided?
All artworks on Mad Aroma come with a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.
Additionally, all editions as photos and art prints are numbered and signed by the artist.
This excludes posters, they come without certificate and signature.
A desired oil painting is no longer available – can I commission a similar work?
It depends on your wish, the size and the price you are willing to pay. Please get in touch with the artist by writing an e-mail to contact (at) madaroma.art.
Are all works are available for purchase?
Not always. Sold works are marked with a badge in the gallery (our store). If an original work is sold, check if you can find a limited edition or a poster of it.
Can I buy the works framed?
All works on Mad Aroma are selled unframed. However, upon request, we deliver the works with extra framing.

The additional costs for framing and shipping will be charged separately and must be paid in any case before the order.

Buying Art on Mad Aroma
How to buy on Mad Aroma?
To purchase an artwork, navigate to the gallery and click on the ” Acquire this work” button. You will then be redirected to your shopping cart.
After that, click on “View basket”. In the basket, enter your details and payment method (credit cards, PayPal, bank transfers or pickup in Cannes).
Once the credit card payment has been processed, you will receive a confirmation from our payment service provider Sripe.
You will receive an automatic order confirmation from us too.
What are the payment methods?
Credit and debit cards (Mastercard, Visa, etc.), PayPal, bank transfer and sash are accepted payment methods.
For all transactions exceeding your credit limit, contact us. We are required to verify every transfer, as part of the fight against fraud and money laundering.
When will my credit card be charged?
Payments for any order must be made in advance when the order is placed.
Accepted payment methods are credit card, PayPal, Bank Transfer (only in Swiss Francs – CHF), cash upon pickup in Cannes (in CHF, EUR, USD) or any other method we will accept in the future.
Can I pay cash?
Yes, you can.
Get a 10% reduction for paying cash when you collect the artwork from the artist’s studio in Cannes, France (CHF, EUR, USD only).

What are the payment fees?
Payment methods are:
– 10% price redcution on cash payments in CHF, EUR, USD upon pick up at the artist’s studio in Cannes, France
No fees for payment by bank transfer in CHF to a Swiss bank account (except your transaction fees)
+ 4.5% for payments by credit and debit cards
+ 4.5% for payments by PayPal
Can I pay in installments?
No, this is not possible.
Can I cancel my order?
No, you can’t.
The reason is, that all works are custom made. Therefore, works cannot be cancelled, returned or refunded at any time.
To change the address for an order that has not yet been shipped, please write an e-mail to contact (at) madaroma.art.
Why is there a heart next to works?
This symbol allows you to choose the artworks you love while you’re on the site, so you can find them all on one single page.
To see this, click on the heart on the main menu. To make sure your favourites are saved and so that you can see them on another device, we recommend creating an account.
Are colors on the site matching with the real works?
Pictures on the site are an accurate representation of the artwork, but has no contractual value.
The reason is, that computer and device monitors display colors differently depending on their calibration.The colors you see may not match on the real works.
We can send you more pictures upon request or you have the option to view the works by appointment at the artist’s studio or schedule a video call with the artist prior to a purchase.

Shipping & Delivery
Where does Mad Aroma deliver?
We deliver worldwide. We don’t deliver to countries who are at war.
How long does the delivery take after I placed my order?
Delivery time depends on the shipping method you chose when placing your order.
Please allow at least 2-3 weeks for purchases of all our art works, including original paintings, limited and unlimited editions, plus shipping time.
How much does my delivery cost?
The cost of delivery depends on the dimensions of each product and the destination.
The price of your delivery is stated at the checkout.
What is included in the shipping costs?
Shipping fees include:
Packing and shipment
Insurance for original works – your order is 100% protected in case of any damage or loss (no insurance for editions)
Not included in the costs:
Customs and clearance fees, import duties
Why are customs and clearance fees, import duties not included in the shipping costs?
Because all the countries in the world have such different import regulations. This is why we outsource to the shipping company to do these formalities for us. They might charge us any customs and import costs, which we will pass on to you.
Customers are solely responsible for any customs and clearance fees, import duties, state, local or federal sales, use, value added, excise, import or other taxes.
Can I track my order?
Since we work with third party providers, this service may vary slightly depending on the destination. Some shipping companies offer the ability to schedule and track shipping at your convenience. This cannot be guaranteed by Mad Aroma.
In general you should receive a tracking link within 2-3 days after the work has been shipped.
Where is my order?
As we use third-party delivery services, we recommend you use the tracking link you should receive by email. If not, please write an e-mail to contact (at) madaroma.art.
Original paintings shipping problems/damage
Original images are sent internationally by insured shipping. If an original painting arrives damaged or destroyed, please contact us immediately, but no later than forty-eight (48) hours after receipt of the shipment, so that we can activate the insurance.
Later submitted reports of damage will be rejected by MAD AROMA ART in any case.
Take high-resolution photos of the damage with sufficient illumination from different angles and email the pictures to contact (at) madaroma.art.
MAD AROMA ART shall refuse to replace, repair and refund any damaged or destroyed original art work in any case.
Editions shipping problems/damage
If a print, limited edition, photo or poster (but not original painting, see above) arrives damaged or broken, contact us immediately. We will gladly replace it.
Therefore, requests must be received immediately or at the latest forty-eight (48) hours of delivery. The request has to include a copy of the shipping receipt and several high-resolution photos from different angles as a proof of the damage. This request has to be done by e-mail to contact (at) madaroma.art.
After this MAD AROMA ART will verify and decide if the damage actually occurred during shipping. If we approve your request for replacement, we will not charge you for the new edition, but you will be responsible for the cost of returning the damaged print to us and the cost of shipping the new edition to the customer.

Return Policy
Can I refuse or return an order?
No, you can’t.
The reason is, that all works are custom made. Production of purchased works begins immediately after purchase, and shipment is made as soon as possible after production is complete. Therefore, works cannot be cancelled, returned or refunded at any time.

Can I exchange an placed order?
No, you can’t.
All original paintings, limited editions, open editions, Pentalogs, photographs and posters are custom made and therefore cannot be returned or exchanged.
Each edition is made to order. Therefore, we cannot change your Artwork once the order is placed.
